Стрелялки, так же известные, как шутеры, являются одним из самых старых жанров компьютерных игр, появившегося в 1978 году. Основная цель данного жанра, перестрелять всех противников, ну или максимальное их количество. При этом вы можете управлять, как самим персонажем, так и определенным техническим средством: самолетом, танком, космическим кораблем. Само по себе название жанра звучит, как Shoot ’em up, что в переводе с английского означает «перестреляй их всех». Однако со временем оно было сокращено до «shooter».
